The TOP-CAT project is a non-profit orgranization
seeking to provide access to and promote the effective use of digital
technologies so that under served neighborhoods in Durham, North
Carolina may work to resolve the many challenges that adversely
effect their quality of life. This project furnishes a technology
gateway for residents of Eagle Village, the community within a two
mile radius of North Carolina Central University (NCCU).
The primary focus of this technological exposure is to exact an
empowering experience for children and adults alike. With children,
the project tasks itself with the development of their academic
success. With adults, the development of viable business skills
and the ability to tap the wealth of information available online
that can greatly improve their knowledge base and potentially their
life. |
