Some things to think about:
Graphs are used to represent data
so that someone can easily understand things by just looking at
a picture. There are many types of graphs. Some graphs are better
than others for showing certain types of data.
When you want to create a graph, you should follow these steps.
1. Create the question that your graph
will answer. 2. Survey people by asking
them your question. 3. Tally your results,
or count, the number in each group that your graph will show.
4. Decide what type of graph is best
for presenting the data you gathered from your survey.
1). Let's see what you know. At the following
link you will answer some questions. When you are finished click
"Test Me" at the bottom of the page. After you have been
given a score, raise your hand so the teacher can record your
score.

for showing percentages (for example: 55% of the people like to
listen to Nelly, 10% like Jah Rule, 5% like Salt-N-Pepper, and
30% like to listen to Lil Romeo)?
6). What is the first step in creating
a graph?
7). Now that you have had a chance to review,
it is time to test your knowledge. Answer each of the following
questions about the two graphs provided. Take your time
and when you finish the quiz click the "Score Me"
button and then raise your hand so a teacher can record your score.
